Sam shared a Tattle Timer accountability invite and asked you to be an Accountabilibuddy.
Only adults can continue into SMS, voice, or email accountability preferences.
The Accountabilibuddy enters their own phone number. No phone number is prefilled from a user's contacts.
A code or magic flow verifies control of the endpoint before the phone can be eligible for messaging.
Missed-commitment message purpose, frequency, STOP/HELP behavior, Privacy Policy, and SMS Terms are shown before opt-in.
After the contact saves this flow, the backend records consent before any provider delivery can occur.
The user can invite a trusted adult contact, but the Accountabilibuddy controls whether their own phone number receives missed-commitment accountability SMS. The SMS checkbox is optional, separate from other acknowledgements, and unchecked by default.

The flow is web-based. It is not dependent on the Accountabilibuddy installing the iOS app, and Tattle Timer does not send cold SMS invites.
A Tattle Timer user creates a commitment and chooses a buddy who agreed to keep them honest.
The user sends the invite link through their own chosen channel. Tattle Timer does not cold-text the contact.
The contact lands on a branded Tattle Timer web page that explains the relationship, commitment context, and consent choices.
The contact must confirm they are an adult before continuing.
The phone number is supplied by the contact, not scraped from the user's address book or prefilled for SMS delivery.
The contact verifies control with a code or magic flow before any phone endpoint is eligible for messaging.
The page shows missed-commitment message purpose, variable frequency, message and data rates, STOP/HELP, Privacy Policy, and SMS Terms.
The SMS consent checkbox is separate from privacy/terms acceptance, controlled by the Accountabilibuddy, and off by default.
The backend records consent version, timestamp, endpoint, channel, and revocation status before any SMS can be sent.
This detail view mirrors the Accountabilibuddy-facing web consent surface. It is illustrative and does not collect data.
Use this section for Telnyx toll-free SMS verification or messaging-provider review fields that ask for opt-in workflow evidence, use case, HELP/STOP/START behavior, and policy URLs.
Missed-commitment accountability messages to Accountabilibuddies who explicitly opt in. A subscribed adult user creates a commitment and manually shares an invite link. The contact chooses whether SMS is allowed.
Reply HELP to receive support details, a short explanation that messages are opt-in missed-commitment accountability messages, preference/help paths where available, and a reminder that STOP opts out.
Reply STOP to opt out. STOP suppresses future Tattle Timer SMS to that phone number unless the Accountabilibuddy later completes deliberate re-consent.
START should only restore SMS after endpoint control and deliberate re-consent are confirmed. Global suppression wins until that happens.
