Account Deletion

Users can request deletion of a Tattle Timer account. Contacts can request opt-out, preference, or deletion assistance without creating an app account.

Review status: Draft deletion policy prepared for coordinator and legal review before production launch or App Store submission.

User account deletion

Signed-in users should be able to request deletion from the app account settings. If you cannot access the app, email jonathan@tattletimer.com from the email address associated with your account and include "Account deletion request" in the subject.

Deletion should stop Tattle Timer service for the account, stop pending external sends, revoke local sessions, disable armed commitments where required, and delete or anonymize personal data according to retention and legal requirements.

Accountabilibuddy and contact deletion help

Contacts do not need a normal app account to opt out. If you received a text, reply STOP. If you received a voice call where opt-out is enabled, use the in-call opt-out prompt. You can also email support to request preference changes, relationship revocation, global block, or deletion assistance.

Apple subscription billing

Deleting a Tattle Timer account stops Tattle Timer service, but Apple manages iOS subscription billing. If you have an active Apple subscription, cancel it through Apple subscription settings as well.

Retention after deletion

Some information may be retained for a limited period where needed for security, fraud prevention, billing records, provider compliance, legal obligations, abuse investigation, consent evidence, opt-out enforcement, or backup integrity. Proof media and generated/recorded audio should follow the service retention posture unless legal or operational requirements require otherwise.
